Infant Massage Class

March 3, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:15 am

Infant massage is an “age-old” tradition used in many cultures. It’s becoming more popular in the United States as the evidence continues to demonstrate the variety of benefits for both parents and babies.

Benefits of Infant Massage can include:
-Improved sleep patterns
-Promotion of all physiological functions (Improved gastrointestinal, circulation, immune system function, etc.)
-Pain relief from reflux, teething and tummy complaints, including gas and   constipation
-Stimulates the release of oxytocin, the body’s natural feel good hormone, for both parent and baby
-Increased confidence in parenting skills
-Improved ability to respond to baby’s cues
-Promotes attachment and bonding between parent/caregiver and baby

We all benefit from a nurturing touch! And babies additionally and specifically need touch to develop in a healthy and happy way. At an infant massage training class, you will learn a wonderful way to calm yourself and your baby at the same time.

This class is for expectant families through to babies who are 8-10 months or crawling age. (and you will learn techniques to carry you through and be of benefit at ALL ages!).
